A Partial History Of Some Very Bad Predictions
From The 1800’s To December 31, 2009 – (Part One)
by Art Kunkin
For this last issue of 2009, I originally planned to write a column about my personal resolutions for 2010. I Invite You To A Monthly Meeting
To Learn Some New Tools That Will Make You Feel Better And Happier
by Art Kunkin
I have enjoyed writing this weekly column since last May. It has been a great pleasure for me to use this column to share ideas that I consider important for living a longer, better and happier life. Another wonderful result of this column has been that hundreds of readers have introduced themselves to me at the library or other places I frequent. They recognized me from my photograph displayed in the column. These new friends often wanted to discuss the subject of a particular column.
Because I have benefited from and enjoyed these chance meetings with readers, I would like to have a regular monthly face-to-face meeting with as many readers as possible. I hope in those meetings to do a better job than I can in these brief columns of sharing the tools I have mastered for enhancing my own life. Therefore, I have arranged with the Joshua Tree Retreat Center to use one of their meeting rooms for such a monthly gathering, starting this month. Also, if another meeting place could be arranged in or near Palm Springs by one of you readers, I would be willing to travel there every month for the convenience of those who live in the low desert.
These monthly meetings will begin on Tuesday, December 15th, with a presentation of two tools. The first of these tools will give you the means to rewire your brain to achieve focus and success in any project you would like to accomplish (the HAMR). The second tool I will teach December 15th will permit you to immediately rid yourself of unwanted emotions, whether those emotions are fear, grief, apathy, anger, etc. (the Sedona Technique of Lester Levenson). by Art Kunkin
Abraham Lincoln is one of the greatest examples of persistence in American history. Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with setbacks throughout his entire life. He lost eight elections, twice experienced business bankruptcies and suffered a nervous breakdown.
He could have given up many times – but (more…)
